heading into the studio tomorrow with the venerable Rob Osterlin
to put the finishing touches
on the mixes for the new EP. then taking a saws-all to a piano,
renting copius amount of
video equipment, playing with hair dye, and heading to the territory
of the great sasquatch
(or wendigo, as he's called in northern minnesota) to shoot the
first video for the album.
with a little mastering and a lotta luck, i should have this whole
shebang out in the time frame i promised.
been listening to elliott smith a lot recently. a lot. few others
so inspire as the man with
the soft voice and the cynics tongue.

Hey gang, Jeff here. Sorry for the lack of updates but the faceboxes
and tweeters aren't really my
thing. The new album is almost complete and I should be able to
release it around September, at which
point I will gather a gaggle of musicians to play live (possibly
launching out of a different city by then).
I will also be shooting a video or two this summer with the very
skilled documentary film-maker Ken Bailey.
Get psyched or get pumped...your choice.

It is official. Most of the next Skittish album will be recorded
this winter in a farmhouse deep
in the countryside of New Zealand. While recording it, I shall attempt
to be an extra in the Hobbit
movie. I figure, with all the songs I write about getting away and
seeing the world, I'd be a real
hypocrate if I passed on this opportunity. Have fun with that Minnesota
winter. j

Also we will be playing at The Chuggin' Monkey at 9pm Wednesday
March 16th in Austin during
Red Gorilla music festival they're having down there. Lots o' things
cookin in Skittish land.
